The thesis deals with the O. Kotlarevsky' scientific heritage in the context of comparative researches at the beginning of the XIX cent; O. Kotlarevsky's scientific methodology, geneses, evolution and transformation are worked out. The inner correlation from the scholar's point of view has been brought up as clear'y as possible within the Europpen literary tradition and the development of Ukrainian science and knowledge; the pecularitis of scientific methodology have been determined and thougt over through in ovarious researches.
