Klynova G. The Contribution of Alexander Dombrovsky into the development of the Ukrainian Historical Science in Diaspora

The object of research is a the development of the Ukrainian foreign historiography in the latter half of the XX century. The aim of research: the complex analysis and determination of the argument and orientation of the scientific work А. Dombrovsky. The subjec of research: life, activity and scientific research of The Ancient History, the History of Church, historiography. The methods of research: analysis, synthesis, chronological, diachronic, the method of classification. The results of research and novelty: this dissertation is the first complex analysis of the life and research work of the famous Ukrainian-American Historian А. Dombrovsky. The Ancient History, the History of Church, the History scholarly associations and the personality theme has been subjects of А. Dombrovsky's research. The scholar's activity in Shevchenko Scientific Society, Ukrainian Free Academy of Science and Arts in the USA, Ukrainian Historical Association has contributed enormously to the development of the historical science in general. The sphere of usage: subsequent development of subject of research, writing of summarizing labours, train aids of Ukrainian historiography, the History of Ukraine, the History of Church; during reading of courses of university.
