Essay

This dissertation is devoted to various aspects of sentencing to a more lenient punishment than provided by law. The author looks at the general issues related to sentencing, types of sentencing, the concept and types of sentencing to a more lenient punishment than provided by law. She also studies preconditions, grounds and procedures for mitigating the punishment. The paper offers recommendations as to the improvement of the relevant provisions of the present Ukrainian law and its implementation.
