Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of protection of the yeast S. cerevisiae at different phases of growth against oxidative stress induced by hydrogen peroxide. It has been found that catalase plays an important role in the resistance of yeast cells to hydrogen peroxide in the middle exponential phase and under starvation. It has been shown that the response of S. cerevisiae to hydrogen peroxide depends on conditions used for stress induction and genetic and physiological peculiarities of strains.
