Logvynchuk V. Tolerance as a valuable determinant of political culture's

The complex political analysis of tolerance as the value and the factor of political culture is carried out in dissertation research. Worldwide environment of tolerance functioning and its growing importance is exposed. The role of tolerance in democratic political system's political culture in comparison with totalitarian ones and its transformation peculiarities during transit period are determined. The history of tolerance coming into being is analyzed. The process during which tolerance are being transformed into universal value under controversy of applying tolerance as progress of West civilization to East intolerant one as well. The plural paradigm of tolerance understanding is exposed. The problem of tolerance in intellectual discussions, scientific theories and its interpretation in political and social practice is lined. Formulation and conceptualization of political tolerance in contemporary Ukrainian political system is considered the substantial innovation of the research. The manifestation of tolerance in political culture of Ukraine and its policy are analyzed as well. Peculiarities of tolerance-intolerance balance in fragmental political culture of Ukraine and the realization of tolerance principle and now-a-day Ukrainian policy are traced.
