Essay

Steel vertical cylindrical tanks for storage oil and oil products. Improving of estimation of wind load effect on tank stability by using universal computer programs. Method of researches: finite element method. Parameters of tank wall numerical models, wave-form deformation of wall at wind load and behaviour of tank wall in limit states are defined. New values of factor of transforming of wind load to uniform pressure are proposed. Using of proposed recommendations allow make more precise stability estimations of tanks. Branch of using: building constructions.
