Serdyuk V. The efficacy of medical correction at sclera regeneration in patients with primary open-angle glauoma

Object - primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Purpose - rising of POAG treatment 's efficacy. Methods: visometry, perimetry, refraction, ophthalmoscopy, biomicroscopy, IOP test, electron tonography; biochemical investigations. For the first time it was established, that superoxide radical of oxygen causes damage of functional groups of proteins in operated scleral tissues, that is the reason of pathological scarring of the sclera. Established that the action of free-radical forms of oxygen leads to the rising of oxyprolin level in proteins of scleral tissues in operated zone. The scheme of 1 % solution of emoxipin has been offered in early postoperative period, that was the reason of decreasing of the inflammation on 19%.
