Object: economic system of port economy of Ukraine in a complex of macro- and microeconomic approaches. Aim: development of theoretical-methodological and applied bases of the strategic planning of effective development of freight ports of Ukraine and mechanisms of realization of strategies. Methods: expert estimations, comparison, inductive, mathematical. Results: first certain and gone into a detail system of principles of prognostication of economic development of freight ports, classification of methods of planning of economic processes and evaluation descriptions is improved. Use: in activity of Kherson Marine Auction Port, SE «Kherson River Port».
