Mohnatyuk I. The Ukrainian history in Ivan Franko's creative work heritage.

The dissertation is dedicated to the complex analysis of Ivan Franko's historical heritage. The author determined and characterized the features of Ivan Franko's personal of historical development. It is revealed Ivan Franko's inclination to the socialistic ideas and his warnings concerning the ways of construction of socialistic system. It is emphasized Ivan Franko's prospect of society's transformation on the basis of community socialism and approximation in ideological plan on the way to liberal- democratic direction. It is proved that Ivan Franko saw the social role of intelligentsia in raising the level of culture and education of the nation on the way to political and national independence. It is expounded the religious principles of Ivan Franko's Weltanschauung, which are based on mental and ethical principles of hope, faith, love, good and justice. It is emphasized that Ukrainian history in Ivan Franko's scientific work is discovered, from one side - through the philosophical conceptualization of the world's historical process, from other side - by means of deep synthesis and analogy with social situation, which is bound up with historical fate of Ukrainians, their originality, perspective of Ukrainian nation's liberation and development. As noted, I. Franko considered nation to be the main subject of historical process, whose history is reflection of inner world of a person. The main idea of I. Franko's historical creativity is liberty, which is reached through the person's self-releasing with a help of her spiritual self-purification.
