Thesis deals with teoretical and methodological basis to form organizational and economic mechanism of the regional food providing within market relations. The work researches the structural and dynamic changes in the food providing sphere in Chernivtsi region. It highlights ways and directions to raise the effectiveness of food providing management in region. The work offers new approach to define the concept «food providing». It also gives criteria to estimate the effectiveness of food providing management in the region. The main conceptional ways to form the strategy of regional food providing are defined.
