Essay

The dissertation is concerned with a topical problem of the improvement of optical and mechanical characteristics of multilayer interference coatings by inserting a functional layer of diamond-like carbon into the coating composition. Samples synthesized according to this structure are assigned with confidence to group 0 in accordance to OCT-3-1901-85 State Standard and exhibit an integral reflection coefficient of about 0.1 % in the range of 8-12 m, the thermal and water resistances being satisfactory.
