Essay

The thesis contains the results of the studies of phase equilibria in the two-ion substitution systems based on the compounds Rb3(Cs3)Sb2(Bi2)Br9(I9). The proper phase diagrams have been built. Using the crystal chemistry laws and rules, the peculiarities of the physico-chemical interaction of the above systems have been explained. The nearly optimum technological conditions for obtaining single crystals of the two-ion substitution solid solutions have been developed, and some physico-chemical and physical properties of the crystals have been examined. Using the bond valence model, the crystal chemical analysis of the structures of Cs3Bi2Br9, Cs3Bi2I9 and Cs3Sb2I9 has been carried out.
