Essay

The thesis deals with the problem of motet genre model in the history of the West – Evropean and Ukrainian music of the 12-th – 20-th centuries composers (G. Dunstable, O. Lasso, Ya. Hundle, T. Victoriy, F. Anerio, J.S. Bach). All stages of the motet genre – organizing indications during some centuries are observed. The complecs musicological analysis in the questions of motet genre development in carried out in some aspects: textual, rytmic, interval, textural respects. The genre model of motet in modern choral art of the 20-th century is retraced in the thesis (A. Vebern, I. Stravinsky, A. Ushkarev, A. Greenberg, L. Duchko). The characteristic of the motet genre is given not only in the historical, theoretical, genreforming aspects of development, but it is also touched upon the problem of these works performance. The analysis of motets allowed to reveal vocal – choral performing difficulties. The degree of these difficulties modified in the accordance of the genre development with the epoch, and also with the peculiarities of national schools. This work touches upon the problem of performens recommendations elaboration, as these works are heard not very often in the concert form.
