Essay

Studying the great amount of musical material its systematization and analytical observation became the basis for new comprehension of the musical and historical process in Halychyna. The term Biedermaier has been introduced into the Ukrainian Art Study for the first time on the basis of piano pieces from Lviv 19th century music collections. The thesis extends the comprehension of Galician music in the European context and works it out in detail.
