Garanin O. Investigation of the history of Ukraine in Ukrainian Free University (1921-1991)

The dissertation is devoted to a complex investigation of the scientific heritage of researches from Ukrainian Free University concerning important problems of establishment and development of Ukrainian statehood. This work reveals description of Ukrainian History by the researches from UFU as an inseparable part of Ukrainian Historiography. The special attention is addressed to such parts of Ukrainian History as Slav period, appearance and expansion of Rus, Christianization of Ukraine territories, existence of Galich-Volin princedom, History of Cossacks period, interpretation "liberating-competition" period of Ukrainian revolution 1917-1921, theoretical argumentation of nationalism and the theoretical basis of optimal state organization for Ukrainian territories. Based on analysis of new sources, former investigations and in comparison to soviet Historiography here is defined the place and the role of the scientific heritage of researches from UFU in general Ukrainian Historiograpty.
