Essay

Object - dry age-related macular degeneration. Purpose - rising of efficacy of dry age-related macular degeneration treatment. Methods: visometry, ophthalmoscopy, ophthalmochromoscopy, biomicroscopy, perimetry, campimetry, light sensitivity, rheoophthalmography; adaptometer ARP, rheoophthalmograf "Rheocom". For the first time it was established, that combined influence of ultrasound and pulse electromagnetic field improves eye blood circulation by 10% more in comparison with magnetic therapy alone, while reducing frequency of revealed central and paracentral scotom's on 11,5%. Established that combined influence of ultrasound and pulse electromagnetic field improves functions of visual system: visual acuity in 1,35 times in 93% of patients, photopic light sensitivity in 1,9 times in 90% of patients. The model of the individual prognosis of direct result of treatment by visual acuity with a high degree of sensitivity (89%) is worked out. The new method and device for the treatment of dry age-relatedmacular degeneration with the combined influence of ultrasound and pulse electromagnetic field on the eye are worked out. The results are adopted at the Filatov Institute, Kharkov Regional Clinical Hospital, Donetsk Regional Medical Hospital. The sphere of application: medicine, ophthalmology.
