Shvab P. Development of dairy cattle breeding in Polissya region

Object of research: process of dairy cattle breeding functioning in agricultural enterprises and private households on the territory of five regions of Ukraine, which belong to Polissya zone - Volynska, Zhytomyrska, Lvivska, Rivnenska and Chernihivska. The purpose of research: generalization of theoretical and methodological principles of dairy cattle breeding functioning, determination of branch crisis reasons and elaboration the proposals to its further development. Methods: monographic, balance, calculation and constructive, statistical-economic, abstract-logical, economic and mathematical etc. Theoretical and practical results: it's grounded the proposals which will promote of regional milk production crisis overcoming and providing its sustainable development. The main results of research can be used by State Management Authorities at State Policy elaboration and also in practical activity of agricultural enterprises. Scientific novelty consists of determination of theoretical and practical aspects of dairy cattle breeding in Polissya region. In particular, for the first time it is elaborated the forecast of dairy cattle breeding development in Polissya region till 2012, proposed system of methods for optimization of milk production development in scientific-research enterprise "Ukraina". The degree of the introduction: the results of the thesis are introduced by the State Administration of Agriculture and Productions Management in Zhytomyrska region and by managing of State scientific-research enterprise "Ukraina". Efficiency: recommendation and proposals will promote the improving of dairy cattle breeding in agricultural enterprises of Polissya region. The sphere, range of using: enterprises of agroindustrial complex.
