Essay

In the dissertation the problem of function of music art in modern cultural environent of Ukraine is discussed. The aim of the research is to determine the categories of musical value,need and interest, to define main socioculturalfunctions of music nowadays and to characterize modern youth listeners'audience.The results of the research and sociologic testing define such tendencies: the lowering of interest of modern youth to the classical music and the domination of amusement-hedonistic function of music art.
