Kazakov A. Clinic-psychopathogical disorders of children development in families where one of the parents suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and principles its correction

In this thesis a complex diagnostics and psychotherapeutic correction of disturbances of mental health in families, where one of the parents suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, was conducted. There was investigated the meaning and influences of family factors on the process of forming of clinical peculiarities and the degree of expression and course of mental disturbances in children being raised in those families. The systemic-structural analysis of 124 families has been conducted, and the results have shown the disturbance of almost every component and constituent of family health when one of the parents suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. On basis of complex investigation of clinic-psychological and psychological peculiarities of children in researched families the principles of psychotherapeutic correction have been developed. Those conducted measures in the field of family psychotherapy were headed toward the solution of the main tasks of family health correction - an improvement of quality of interfamilial communication, increasing of the level of adaptability and normalizing of family functioning. Psychotherapeutic work in such cases has to be complex and individually differentiated, based on stage principles.
