Object of the investigation-bone union of the tibial diaphysis, metabolism of calcium and proteins. Purpose: to increase efficacy of the surgical treatment of the tibial fracture by correction of the calcium and proteins metabolism with early functional loading of the damaged bone. Methods: clinical, rentgenological, laboratorial, biochemical, experimental and statistical. Investigations new knowledge about metabolism of proteins and calcium were obtained. These changes depend on mineral density of the bone and its fracture. Decreasing of the mineral density accompanies with excretion of the calcium and proteins with urine. This fact is the prognostic factor of the slow bone reparation. Reception of the calcium complex, vitamins and vitamin-like biological active substances (izoflavins) has positive affect on calcium balance, mineral density of the bone. Combination with early loading of the bone allows improving results of the surgical treatment of the tibial fractures. New method of dosed loading with scheme of reception of the calcium complex, vitamins and vitamin-like biological active substances was proposed. This scheme is based on degree of the fracture and presence of risk factors of bone nonunion. Usage of these methods allows increase a frequency of the bone nonunion. Results of the investigation introduced in the practice of the traumotological and orthopaedics departments in Odessa, Odessa’s region clinical hospital, city clinical hospital № 1,city clinical hospital № 11, in the educational process of the traumotological-orthopaedics and military surgery department Odessa’s Medical State University.
