Balzik I. The Relations of the State and the Church: «The Symphony of Powers»

The thesis is a general-theoretical legal research of interrelation of state and law carried out on the basis of the «symphony of powers». The symphony of powers is determined as a harmonic interaction but not a contamination of temporal and spiritual powers on the basis of value of morality, orthodoxy, law with the aim of reaching peace, prosperity, revival and strengthening of spirituality. The main patterns of interrelations of the Christian church and the state have been analysed. It was proved that the symphony of powers is typical only for orthodox civilization. The tradition of bringing the conception of «the symphony of powers» to life has been analysed. In Ukraine the legal basis of governmental – spiritual relations is considered in details. The necessity to use the conception «the symphony of powers» in the process of forming the relations of state and church in modern Ukraine has been singled out as well.
