Essay

The object of research is the existing means and ways of providing stable ventilation of working slopes in inclined fields during fires. The aim of the research is to improve the stability of ventilation in main workings during fires taking into account influence of fire extinguishing means operating parameters. Grounding and authenticity of scientific conclusions and statements is insured by the use of fundamental postulates of aerology, hydrodynamics, theoretical analysis. For the first time there has been grounded and experimentally proved that water fire extinguishing means of WAD type not only influence the aerodynamic resistance of a working but are also an active source of extra draught. There has been defined the dependence of air consumption in a working on water fire extinguishing installation operating parameters. For the first time the mathematics model of aerodynamic interaction of dispersed liquid with ventilation air flow has been developed. Engineering methods of calculating of aerodynamic parameters of air flow in working during fires has been developed. The method of modeling of fire extinguishing means influence on airing stability is used in educational process in DNTU.
