This thesis focuses on the study of linguostylistic, semantic and cognitive aspects of E.Dickinson’s poetics through their comprehensive analysis developed within lingoustylistic and cognitive frameworks. In the paper a definition of the term “poetics” is specified with cognitive linguistics and cognitive poetics approaches being taken into account, constituents of the poetics notion are established and typical features of E.Dickinson’s poetics are analysed. It is revealed that the key constituents of the author’s poetics are idiostyle, idiolect and cognitive style. Such constituents are studied with the help of an integrative methodology involving the analysis of poetic text’s verbal and conceptual aspects. An important stage of the research is the consideration of lingual and extra-lingual contexts. It gives the possibility to explain the prevalence of some lexical, graphic, syntactical means and the specificity of imagery in the author’s verses. The results of the research prove that E.Dickinson’s poetics is characterised not only by the convergence of dominant tropes and figures (parallelism, antithesis, inversion, personification, metaphor, metonymy) but of conceptual images (CONTAINER, MOVEMENT) as well, all expressed in the harmony of content and form of her poetic texts.
