Essay

The object is diffraction on an open end of transmission line with impedance boudaries. The goal is physical regularities determination of radiation from an open end of a line with impedance boudaries. Methods are theoretical and experimental methods of radiophysic research. Analytical solutions of dispersion relations have been obtained for waveguides partially filled with dielectric material. The new method of eigenmode type determination has been proposed for waveguides with impedance boudaries. Double degeneracy of an asymetrical eigenmodes has been revealed. Two-parametric expansions for radiation fields have been found and experimental shown. The application area is antenna systems feeds of millimeter and submillimeter wavelength ranges.
