Prykazyuk N. Investment activities of the commercial banks on the market of securities

The dissertation investigates theoretical and practical issues of commercial banks investment activity on the securities market of Ukraine. Economic nature and essence of banking investment activity were revealed. Their classification was provided and objective necessity was proved. The forms of banks participation in investment process on the securities market were defined and risks of banking investment activity were researched. The institutional and legal provision of banking investment activity on the securities market was analyzed. The peculiarities and regularities of securities market were revealed and their influence on banking investment activity was researched. Activity of commercial banks as investors and their service of investment process were analyzed. It was proved that commercial banks do not use in full measure their investment potential during securities portfolio formation.Proposals concerning improvement of commercial banks investment activity on securities market of Ukraine are formulated in the dissertation. The opportunities of investment portfolio optimal structure in accordance with National bank of Ukraine regulations were investigated individually.
