Shmigelskyy M. Peculiarities and tendencies of propagation and development of new Christian movements in Ukraine.

The thesis is dedicated to the research of modern Christian movement in Ukraine. It was aimed to analyze the phenomenon of neochristian religiousness in Ukraine on a complex historical and religious studies basis. The peculiarities of religious and historical interpretations of neochristianity were researched; the existing theoretical and methodological tools were analyzed and the rationale for the usage of the specific terms was developed. The reasons for appearing and propagation of neochristian religious in Ukraine were identified, consideration was given to the scale of development of religious network of neochristian churches and their regional location; the peculiarities of development of the most numerous neochristian trends in Ukraine were described; the place of neochristian churches in the social life of the country and their relations with other confessions was identified.
