Essay

Dissertation is a complex philosophical research of meaning, dynamics and discourse of socio-political and socio-cultural changes within Ukrainian latter Protestantism in the process of political, societal and cultural transformation in 1990-th-2000-th. During these years Protestant denomination in Ukraine went through the processes of institutional consolidation, diversification of the denominational structure, de-sectanization, specification and refinement of doctrinal minimum, forging of the core elements of social teaching, gradual growth of the social status of Churches' members, their involvement into political and cultural life. Author has proved that global and local cultural transformation lead to the changing connotation in forging Protestant social teaching and, at the same time, to deeper differentiation between radical evangelical, moderate and liberal movements within Protestant bodies. The correlation between the dynamic of changes in community members' numbers and economics and political stability in Ukraine was revealed.
