Shyshkina Y. Emergency Paper Money of Ukraine in 1914-1925 as a Historical Source.

The object — the Ukrainian emergency paper money of 1914-1925 as the sources of social, economic and political history. The purpose – the complex investigation of the Ukrainian notes issued between 1914 and 1925. The methods: an empirical method, а structure-systematical method, а method of classification, а scientifically-heuristic method, a historical-genetic method, а historical-typological method. In dissertation bons heraldic (emblematic), sphragistic, chronological, metrological, neographic, filigree, ornamental, superscription elements are investigated. By means of special historical disciplines methods the sense of these elements is found out. Information is supplemented with facts from another historical sources (official papers and correspondence, printed media, private papers, imaginative literature of contemporaries) and is used for investigation of specific historical problems, particularly a history of money circulation, local credit and commodity-money relations, a financing activity of local powers, a financially-paying activity of cooperatives, a provision and money supplying of workers during the investigated period.
