Horlova O. People as a protopersonage of epic utterance (on material of Valery Shevchuk’s novel prose)

The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical judgment of concept «protopersonage». In connection with the object in view, different ideas of evolution sights at determining approaches to the doctrine about the author and the hero (character) as correlation diads; activity of protopersonage in comparison - confrontation to such concepts, as «personage» and «prototype» is described; the methodological substantiation «chimerical» as style dominants of modern Ukrainian historical prose is given; phenomena «chimerical» narrations as effects of activity protopersonage are described and the protopersonage’s activity is a reliable explaining principle for such chimerical’ narration phenomena, which are traditionally treаted as consequences of the biographical author’s conscious activity; genre priorities «chimerical» prose in aspect which are determined with activity protopersonage are systematized; the epic utterance as direct corporality overindividual the subject of language life – people was analysed.
