Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the criminal and criminological characteristic of counterfeiting (coinage offence). Objective and subjective elements of crime defined by Article 199 of Criminal Code of Ukraine were examined. The rate, structure and dynamics of coinage offence in Ukraine were studied, a counterfeiter personality characteristic was given, wide range of measures of special criminological preventing of counterfeiting were proposed in the dissertation.Legislative proposals for improvement of Articles 199 and 224 of Criminal Code of Ukraine were made.
