Essay

Subject of inquiry: wind energy potential of the region. Object of research: creating research guidance of long-term forecasting for electricity production by a wind unit in the region and applying obtained results for Crimean peninsula. Methods of inquiry: meteorology methods, wind power theories, mathematical modeling, computational geometry, probability theory, mathematical statistics, functions' interpolation and approximation, informatics. Theoretical and practical results, innovation: first ever there were developed methods of: estimating spatial representativeness of information sources about wind, mathematical modeling WT power parameters with combined power control system; there has been performed the analysis of wind energy calculations accuracy based on meteorological history data; comprehensive maps of wind energy potential in the Crimea have been made. Subject and implementation stage: methods and results gained and presented in PhD thesis have been implemented in: Ministry of industrial policy, transport, relations and fuel and energy complex of Crimean AR, IBSTC for wind power at NAS of Ukraine, State owned enterprise "Donuslavska wind farm", NTUU "KPI" etc. Implementation efficiency: optimization of wind energy strategy development in the region. Utilization field: forecasting wind energy potential in the regions.
