Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of the special points of archetypes self-realization and author's myth at the works of Miyazawa Kenji. The prose works are the base of the analysis. The archetypes of the hero, the wise old man, the trickster, the way, the self are analyzed. The hero is the key archetype within the author's myth by Miyazawa Kenji. This idea may be realized through two antipode symbols - the hero himself, and the baby. The baby is the hero too, but it is the unsafe one without courage. Thus it has to suffer, and this suffer is the point, which causes the spirit growth in the future. Special attention is devoted to the hero's companions, such as the wise old man, and the trickster. The wise man is the kind of profit who helps the hero to start the trip. The methods he uses are not always positive, and may be roof and brutal. In that case the old wise man symbolizes the negative form of the archetype. But his aim stays positive - to help the hero to start the self-reflection process.
