Essay

Process of dehydration of alcohols. Establishment of alcohols dehydration over some membrane catalysts in the hydrated proton current. Running and membrane methods of study of reaction, gaz-chromatography analysis, determination of proton conductivity of catalytic membranes. The regularities of alcohols dehydration to ethers were investigated over some membrane catalysts in the hydrated proton current. Proton current with intensity 5-100 mA was shown to stipulate the non-equivalence of the active sites of ingoing and outgoing sides of the catalytic membranes. The orders and the rate constants of the inter- and intramolecular dehydration were determined based on the developed mathematical kinetics calculation model of the alcohol dehydration in the membrane reactors. Have allowed suggesting the mechanisms of alcohols dehydration which satisfactorily interpreted the ether and olefin obtaining. Sphere of use - petrochemistry.
