The results of 218 patients corrections (396 eyes) with high degree myopia were analysed. All patients were devided into 2 groups - an investigative group and a control one. The investigative group consisted of 164 patients (296 eyes). The control group had 54 patients (100 eyes). The patients of the investigative group were undergone by myopia correction with Lasek method with intraoperating using solution mitomycin-C 0,02 %. The patients of the control group had the correction with Lasek method. Decreasing myopia degree in Lasek group with MMC from -7,26 ± 0,06 D to +0,18 ± 0,08 D spherically and from -1,36±0,07 to + 0,08 ± 0,05 D cylindrically took place in 12 months after correction. In the control group the decreasing in 12 months after correction was from - 7,38±0,09 D to -0,33±0,08 D spherically and from -1,27 ± 0,08 D to - 0,38±0,05 D cylindrically. Analysing the results of the cornea haze development after the method of correction with Lasek ММС and Lasek the data were as follows:in the late postoperation period (12 months after correction ) the patients of investigative group had haze in 8,1% of cases (24 eyes) with maximum intensity of 1 degree on 7 eyes, that is 2,4% cases. In the patients of the control group the haze was observed in 18% cases (18 eyes). The results of intensity were as follows:12 eyes (12%) - 0,5 degree; 5 eyes (5%) - 1 degree; 1 eyes (1%) - 2 degree.
