Dissertation is devoted to the improvement and synthesis of the mechanism for oscillating motion of eye combs of the knitting machines. The new construction of mechanism for oscillating motion of eye combs of changeable structure is developed for the cycle formation of loops with three mobile links, one of which has a resilient element, allowing providing the phase corners of oscillating motion and the stopping of eye combs. Mathematical models are got for a metrical synthesis, kinematics and power calculation of mechanism of changeable structure. Experimental researches are conducted for confirmation of results of theoretical researches. Area of application – light industry.
