Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the development of the scientific basis for designing electromechanical press equipment for the processing of light industry operations. These operations include: cutting and perforating parts; sticking, marking and stamping; installation of metal fittings, clamping of metal fasteners, etc. When performing these operations, unreasonable energy losses occur. The main reasons for such losses are the incomplete loading of equipment and its work in the idle mode during the process, the downtime due to organizational and other circumstances, and the discrepancy of the power facilities of the equipment to the volume of work being performed. There is a loss of energy in the drives of cars. The discrepancy between the type of drive, its mode of operation, power and other characteristics of the parameters of the technological operation performed on the equipment results in significant energy losses. One of the promising approaches to improving the drives of light industry machines is the use of power discrete systems, which are based on linear electric motors. They differ in relatively low power consumption, relatively high specific parameters and provide a direct transformation of electric energy into the mechanical work of moving a working body along a linear trajectory. The work is aimed at the theoretical generalization and the solution of the important scientific and technical problem; it consists in the development of the scientific basis for the design of electromechanical press equipment for purposeful deformation and destruction of light industry materials under the influence of the impact, which is regulated and created by the reciprocal movement of the working bodies of the equipment, which at the same time provide the increasing of the quality of the materials being processed, the reducing its energy intensity, the increasing productivity and give an economic effect. Based on the received regularities, the methods of calculation have been projected; in addition, new designs of electromechanical press equipment, which links the linear electric motor and the power/control device, have been developed.
