The situation of borrowing natury population to Canadian and New Zealand variants of the English language. The aim is to find out the mechanisms of adaptation of conceptual and lexical system of the English language. The methods are: verbalization of denotates included into the concept by autoch thonous borrowings have been singled out for the first time. Theoretical theses serve the contribution in cognitive semantics. The results of the investigation can be used in lexicology courses of the English languages in special courses in cognitive linguistics. The sphere of usage - higher school.
