Essay

The theoretical investigation of the electromagnetic waves propagation in the waveguide with layered-periodic walls is carried out using the transformation matrix method, Floquet’ theorem and Green’s formula. Different type of the energy transfer has been obtained. The increase of the intensity of the nonlinear waves’ interaction in the anisotropic guiding layer has been explained. The possibility of the control of the waveguide properties by means the external magnetic field has been demonstrated. The theory of the complex waves has been formulated. Creation of the passive devices for the submillimeter and millimeter regions, the investigation of the materials’ nonlinear properties are the application area.
