Essay

The proposed method includes combination of galvanic currents and antibiotics which improves the effectiveness of treatment of odontogenic inflammatory diseases in children. Normalization of general state and laboratory indexes in patients treated with this method achieves on third day of treatment. The method accelerates normali-zation of patients' general states, clinical and laboratory data, decreasing of endogenic intoxication to the third day of treatment. The method increases the antibiotic concentration in saliva 2-5 times in com-parison to traditional therapy, deponates antibiotics in inflammatory area and prolongs its action. Redistribution of antibiotics decreases the risk of allergic reactions, which is confirmed by increasing of eosinophile during the treatment. Combination of galvanic currents and antibiotics helps to eradicate pathogenic microflora in the wound to the second day in 45,9 % of patients and to the fifth day - in 100 %. In control group with standard antibiotic therapy eradication of microbes took place in 18,2 % of patients on the second day and in 95,5% - on the fifth day of treatment. Alteration and exudation processes, formation of cell differons which are char-acteristic of proliferation were more intensive in experimental group. The proposed method of treatment accelerates healing of wound: the speed of wound contraction was 31 ± 1,9 mm2/day in experimental group and 20,9 ± 7,8 mm2/day in control group.
