Bezyazychna N. Clinical and laboratory evaluation and foundation of a new silicone lining material for dentures

The thesis describes clinical and laboratory evaluation of a new Ukrainian constructional silicone lining material "PM-S", grounds its application and determines its clinical, functional and economic efficiency in orthopedic treatment of adentia with removable dentures. Basing on experimental investigation of clinical, technological, physical and mechanical properties of silicone lining materials, system of assessing their technological quality has been developed. Determination of the "effective thickness" of soft liner to provide its function to decrement of prosthetic bed tissues with mathematical calculations has been made. Methods of orthopedic treatment of adentia with two-layer removable dentures are improved on the account of the oral mucosa elasticity and occlusal force distribution. Decreasing of mucous membrane inflammation of prothesis bed in cases of denture liners appliance has been investigated. The most efficacious way of disinfection of two-lining removable dentures with 0,5 % natrium hypochlorite solution applying has been proved.
