On the base of researches above as for contact interaction of double titanium-chromium carbide and diboride with iron-based alloys the kinetic dependences of wetting of refractory compounds by metallic alloys as well as the regularities of structure formation were determined. It gave a possibility to choose the composition of new composite materials - (TiCrC-30 % (Fe-Cr), TiCrB2- 30 % (Fe-Cr)). The new materials were manufactured using sintering and hot-pressing methods as compact electrodes and granulated powders. The composition, structure and properties of the developed composite materials are researches. The developed composite materials were used for the deposition of plasma and electro-spark coatings on 30HGSA and HVG steels as well as VT3-1 titanium alloy. The composition, structure, formation feature and tribotechnical characteristics of the developed coatings are studied. Taking into account the high level of service characteristics of coatings developed and results of exploitation tests of different industrial parts manufactured using these coatings, one can conclude that they may be successfully for strengthening and reduction of equipment in aircraft, motor, agricultural, paper, textile and other branches of up-to-date industry.
