Object - processes connected with the use of scientific and technical potential of the machine-building enterprises. The purpose - to develop scientific and methodical rules of formation of the organizational and economic mechanism of improving the efficiency of use of scientific and technical potential of machine-building enterprises. Methods - logic and qualitative analysis and a synthesis; economical - statistical analysis; induction and deduction; the program-target approach; economical - statistical modelling. Novelty - following the model of financial supply of scientific and technical activity and commercialization of scientific and technical developments which unites normative financing and the personal contribution of scientists, including factor of a quantitative estimation of a human capital; the methods of estimation of machine-building enterprises scientific and technical potential which includes a complex of procedures for selection of criteria (novelty of scientific and technical development, efficiency, a level of security, etc.) by defining of commercial potential of scientific and technical development has been offered.
