Essay

The collection of Transcarpathian church songs – Bokshay-Malinich Prostopiniye – in the context of ukrainian written and printed Irmologia of XVII – XIX centuries has been analysed in our work. Organic relation of Prostopiniye and Irmologia (relation of repertoire, similarity of musical style) has been stated / established, as well as trend of renovation, simplification, updanting of old melodical forms, and crystallization of melodies in local and regional peculiarities. It has been cleared out, that, on the background of cardinal melodic-rhythmic changes and new models, archaic irmologic formation in Prostopiniye – temporal measuring parameters of modal metrics – left unchanged.
