The object of research: is the process of social and economic development of landowners in the aspect of their formation as subjects of farming in agricultural production in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Aim of research: abstract and logical, historical and economic, analysis and synthesis, statistic and economic, in particular methods of grouping, comparative analysis, statistic observation, cause and consequence connection; correlative and regressive. Methods: abstract and logical, historical and economic, analysis and synthesis, statistic and economic, in particular methods of grouping, comparative analysis, statistic observation, cause and consequence connection; correlative and regressive. Theoretical and practical results: theoretical and methodological basis is formed by fundamentals of economic theory and systematic and dialectic approach as to study of economic processes and phenomena, which deal with the development of sub-jects of farming in agrarian sector of economics, scientific works, legal and normative acts of Ukraine concerning peasants activity and function of landowners as subjects of farming. Prac-tical importance of the received results is in fact that their use makes it possible to improve mechanism of consolidation of landowners. Research novelty: for the first time methodology of forecasting of optimal amount of production is proposed; parameters of optimization of mount of milk processing and range of dairy products proposed by milk processing enterprises of the region are grounded; methodological fundamentals of estimation of elasticity of milk and dairy products demand are improved; algorithm of economic and mathematic modeling of optimization of forage production structure and production of milk at agricultural enterprises is improved; existing scientific works as to improvement of relations and mutual payments between agricultural producers, processing and trading enterprises are further developed; scientific approaches as to conceptual estimation of prospective changes in the functional structure of milk and dairy product market as well as methodological fundamentals of estimation of influence of the determined indicators on the functioning of milk and dairy products mark and market conjuncture are specified; economic basis of formation of market funds of dairy materials in administrative regions and their division is developed. Level of introduction: results of the research are used for the development of the program “Prospects of agro industrial complex and development of rural areas of Ivano-Frankivsk region in 2005-2010 and in the period till 2015”, accepted for the introduction farms “Prometey” in the village Pereriv in Kolomyya district, Ivano-Frankivsk region and are used in the educational process of Pre Carpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk. Efficiency: results of the research ground conception of improvement of the mechanism of landowners consolidation on the basis of further complex development of physical and juridical persons in the sphere of agricultural production, more effective functioning of agro formations and farms, strengthening of the role of landowners in the development of rural areas. Sphere, field of use: main department of agro industrial devel-opment of regional and district state administrations, agricultural enterprises, private farms as well as educational process of agrarian educational establishment.
