Essay

The polyfluoromethylcontaining analogs of gamma-aminobutyric acid and beta-homo-proline. Development of methods of synthesis of analogues of gamma-aminobutyric acid. Chemical synthesis, IR- and РMR-spectroscopy, chromatography, HPLC. A general synthetic route to the synthesis of polyfluoromethylcontaining analogs of GABA, carnitine, homo-proline was developed, the absolute configuration of synthesized amino acids was determined. New fluorinated amino alcohols were obtained and trifluoromethyl-containing amino alcohol was separated on enantiomers. A new synthetic access to beta-polyfluoroalkyl pyrroles was developed. Some of synthesized analogs of GABA and carnitine were examined for biological activity. Most of the compounds demonstrated immunomodulating activity and should be the perspective compounds for future investigations. Sphere of use - bioorganic and organic chemistry.
