Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying of pathogenically substantiated differentiated diet for treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM) combined with hypertension. Post-lipid load blood lipids content study had been pioneered resulting in determining that patients with type 2 DM combined with hypertension experienced postprandial dyslipidemia. It has been revealed that patients with type 2 DM combined with hypertension suffer disruption of structural and functional state of erythrocytes. Differentiated diet implying moderate decrease of energy value due to carbohydrates with high glycemic index, moderate decrease of animal fats and vegetable oils quota, increased content of animal protein, along with prescribing complex vitamins and minerals, lecithin, omega-3 fatty acids, magne B6 and vitamin C off contributed to decreasing body mass, reduction of waist volume, abatement of psychological dependence on food, tolerance increase as regards physical activities, arterial pressure normalization, decrease of triglyceride level, general cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLCh) in blood, as well as increase of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLCh) and decrease of glucose concentration and glycolized Hb.
