Essay

The dissertation is devoted to estimation of biodiversity and to determination of current species composition of plant-inhabiting mites of the family Phytoseiidae in the dendrological parks and botanical gardens of the Wood-and-Steppe of Ukraine and its comparison with the same species composition in the Kaniv Natural Reserve. Some ecological characteristics of phytoseiid mites and species composition in the dendrological parks, botanical gardens and one reservation area are shown.
