Essay

Object - classic subfoveal neovascular membranes. Purpose - to increase of treatment efficacy of patients with classic subfoveal neovascular membranes. Methods - clinical, morphological and statistical. Apparatus - diode laser and vitreoretinal surgery system. It was proved that severity of macular pathologic process depends on subfoveal neovascular membrane thickness.There was new method of staged treatment proposed, that includes using of transpupillary thermotherapy at first stage, independently from severity of macular pathologic process, and surgical excision at second stage in treatment of patients with severe stages of pathologic process with efficacy by structural and functional indexes at 78 %.The results are adopted at the Filatov Institute. The sphere of application: medicine, ophthalmology.
