The dissertation deals with the improvement of operating characteristics of steel high-pressure apparatuses (HPA) used to synthesize superhard materials (SHM), which is achieved by the study and justified choice of a technology of the production and thermal treatment of apparatus matrices (the R6M5 steel) and supporting rings (35ХГСA steel). The efficiency of steel HPA in SHM synthesis is discussed.
