Essay

The results of investigations of abscopal effects caused by ionizing radiation influence on plant organism are represented in the dissertation. The dose-depended and time-depended abscopal effects were studied after acute irradiation. It was shown that the local irradiation of separate organs (primary roots, stems, cotyledons) of entire plant organism caused the abscopal effects of growth stimulation and depression, radioadaptation and radiosensitization. The abscopal effects of ionizing radiation were observed in the whole investigated dose range. Their specificity depended on the dose and localization of x-rays influence. The intensity of the abscopal effects changed during the time after irradiation. Nonspecificity of abscopal effects regarding acting factor was established on the examples of the abscopal radiosensitization effect caused of hyperthermia influence on roots and of the abscopal radioadaptative effect caused of mechanic influence on roots. The preservation of abscopal radioadaptative effects after excision of the irradiated organ was demonstrated.
